Organisations and Teams

Audio Audit supports both personal and Organisation workspaces. The workspace selector in the top-right corner shows your current context. Setting up an organisation lets you collaborate with colleagues by giving them access to shared podcasts, reports and credits.

Creating an Organisation

  1. Click the workspace switcher drop-down and then "Add organisation" at the bottom
  2. Alternatively, go to Settings → Organisations and then "Create new organisation"
  3. Enter your organisation name
  4. Invite team members (optional) — see Managing Team Members

Whoever creates the organisation becomes its Owner.

Switching Between Workspaces

You can switch between workspaces from the Dashboard or Settings:

  • Use the workspace selector dropdown in the top navigation
  • What you see when the switcher is closed determines what data you see and edit
  • Clicking your own name returns you to your personal account workspace

Your personal workspace is unaffected by any of the team settings described here. Podcasts, reports and credits belong to the workspace they were created in.

How access works

Access in an organisation is decided by two things that stack:

  1. A workspace role — Owner, Admin or Member. This covers the whole organisation: billing, inviting people, and whether someone can see every podcast or only the ones they have been added to.
  2. Per-podcast access — Manager or Viewer on an individual show. This is what a Member's access is built from. Owners and Admins already see and manage every podcast, so they do not need it.

On top of those there are two per-person workspace permissions — running reports and enhancing audio. These spend the workspace's shared credit balance, so they are granted to a person for the whole workspace rather than show by show.

See Roles and Permissions for the full breakdown.

Where things are managed

  • Settings → Team — the member list, workspace roles, and which podcasts each person is on
  • Settings → Team → a person's name — one member's role, workspace permissions and podcast list
  • Invite Team Member — invite someone, set their role, and assign them to podcasts in one step
  • Settings → Podcasts → Manage — a show's settings, its report notification list, and removing it from the workspace
  • Settings → Organisations — renaming the workspace, and deleting it
  • Settings → Profile — your own email notification preferences

In this section

  • Roles and Permissions — what Owners, Admins and Members can do, and how Manager and Viewer access to individual podcasts works
  • Managing Team Members — inviting people, assigning podcasts, changing roles, granting report and enhancement permissions, and removing members
  • Podcast Access and Report Emails — controlling who can see a show and who gets emailed when its reports finish

Sharing with people outside the team

Adding someone to your organisation is the right move for colleagues within a studio, production company or marketing department.

If you only want to show a report to a client, you do not need to give them a workspace at all — share the individual report by clicking the "Share" button or copying the URL from the address bar.
