The UK podcast industry has been growing at a steady pace over the past few years and is expected to continue its growth throughout 2022. Listener numbers have increased in the past couple of years throughout the UK even though the average commute time dropped considerably because of the pandemic. With organisations like the British Podcast Awards, new production companies and more people than ever starting their own shows, the UK is becoming a hive of activity.
This increased interest in podcasting has resulted in more opportunities for podcasters to meet, learn and share ideas at conferences, workshops and other events. Conferences are a great way to network, learn new skills, stay up-to-date and share stories. As pandemic restrictions are easing, more people are wanting to get out, meet up and create personal connections.
Here’s a list of the largest UK-based podcasting events, both live and virtual, that you can go to this year. We’ve scoured the web, so you don’t have to, to compile this directory of some of the best podcasting conferences in our home country, the United Kingdom. We’ll try to keep it updated as much as possible, but do let us know if there’s anything you think we should add. We intend to attend as many of these events as possible so do please come and say hi if you see us.
